Sunmoon Trading Center

The Sun Moon Trading Center also has Nepalese Nettle Yarn They have a more detailed description of why a person would want to use nettle yarn and how it is grown and made.  A single ball of Nettle Yarn, probably 100 grams, is priced at $15.
The website requires entering complete address and delivery information before disclosing shipping costs.  FedEx is highest at $98.00 and DHL and TNT tie with $60.25.
So, a small quantity is indeed precious cargo.

CreationNepal for Nepali and Tibetan handicrafts

CreationNepal - Nepali and Tibetan handicrafts is a website for ordering all kinds of Nepali and Tibetan handicrafts and materials.  I've never actually ordered from them, but I have an interest in Nettle Fiber.  Their website shows balls of yarn, thin yarn, fabric, and body scrubbers all made from Nettle, Hemp, and Bamboo.  Everything is sold in 100 gram or 1 kilo units, so I would have to do some serious figuring to know if these are "good" prices.  When I checked prices today, 1 kilo of thin nettle yarn would be $27.10 for the yarn and $36.71 for shipping to the US via DHL.
(An interesting side note:  UPS would be $51.69 and FedEx would be $44.55)
So, in a small quantity, the shipping is the deciding factor.

Honourable Cordwainers' Company

Adding the Honourable Cordwainers' Company to my list of Links that Aren't Knitting.
Cordwainers are shoemakers.  "We Unite To Preserve Our Skills and History".  Pretty good resources and a great online library list.

Ravelry - helping crafters since April 2007

I looked it up and I've been a member of Ravelry since March 2008.  I can't remember who first "invited" me, but it was a blessing.  In the beginning, it was required to be invited by someone that was already a member.  Then there was the Waiting.  So, I was probably invited sometime in December 2007 or January 2008.  And now they have 2,000,000 - Two Million members!

How do I get these Pages to show????

Well, this is a little more complicated than I thought.  These cute little new Pages weren't showing, and so what's the use of having them????
As usual, there's so many choices and little tic boxes to check, and I missed one.  So, let's hope they are displaying now....

Knitty: the gateway to online knitting addiction....

That title is not an accusation of any kind.
I don't mind my knitting addiction, and have no intention of controlling it.
I found Knitty soon after I began knitting (again) and that was around the time of the first Harry Potter movie release in November 2001.  I remember looking for a "bell sleeve sweater" and using every Search I had access to on my slower than anything dial-up internet connection.  At some point, I came across "Topsecret" in Knitty's Fall 2002 issue, their First Issue?  Is it possible I've been following them since their Beginning?
It was Love At First Sight!

In the Beginning (of this blog)

Here at the start, let me make clear that I am making this blog for the purpose of using the Pages Feature to save my web browser Favorites list.
Why?
Because the list is getting pretty long.
Because I can't access the same list from all the different computers I use.
So that I can catogorize them into subjects more easily.
Because I can......
Welcome, and please use these links responsibly.
